The behavior that teenagers show is the result of neurobiology. It isn’t the result of raging hormones or defiance according to the research on teen developmental stage. I believe that this is true because when I make a decision it is based on my first thought. Also, when I don’t listen to my parents that’s not what I was planning to do, but that’s how it goes. It was also researched that teen brains aren’t developed like adults older than the age 21. Therefore, we can’t make wise decisions like older people would like us to. I hear a lot of times parents saying, “use your brain,” but we are using our brains the way we can!
However, just because some teens do make decisions that aren’t wise doesn’t mean that older people have to use that against us. Although teen brains aren’t fully developed, you shouldn’t use that as an excuse to act out of pure defiance! We are not being irresponsible!
Nice but do you think that you will think the same as the older people when you are not a teen anymore?
ReplyDeleteI know that sometimes teens will blame other people for there actions but most teens are responsible. I will not change my opinion about this matter when I get older.
DeleteThat is so true. Does this happen to you a lot? Do you fight back or do you just go with the flow?
ReplyDeleteThank you for responding to my blog. This prejudice does happens to me a lot. I think its just because adult have a different way of thinking than teens. Sometimes I just ignore them because I know what the truth is and no one can change that, unless they give me facts, hard and solid evidence about this matter. This reply may sound stubborn but that is my way of thinking.
DeleteGood job, I have to disagree though I sometimes feel that way but we still have to take responsibility for our actions and make choices that will create a positive future.
ReplyDeleteI agree that we have to take responsibility for our actions but most teens do. I believe this is a stereotype foe teens .
DeleteI disagree with that it is hard to make decisions with our brains because it is not fully grown.I think even with a brain in progress you should still know how to make decisions.
