Can a colorless world change us or keep us the same?

If people were the same color in the world, it could be a better place because you wouldn't  be so quick to put people in a group or assume because you're a race that you're this when there is a slight chance you aren't. If there is sameness of color there would be less discrimination and gangs and if you talk about someone color it would be like you're talking about yourself. There are many examples on how race is a big problem in our world like if you're Black ,most people assume that you're loud, ignorant and you talk with improper language, also you have a very ghetto name and come from a rough neighborhood. If you’re White, you're probably proper, have a high paying job and speak with correct language. If you are a Mexicans then most people think they are just maids and gangbangers who come over illegally to take our jobs and pollute our streets with violence when really every race that I know or have learned about was about violence. If you are  Asians  then most people think that they are smart and came from their country to escape sweatshops. Now people might think because you’re the same color that you can pick on something different like hair or weight or height but they are things that you can change or can benefit you as a person. For example, if you are tall you could be a model or an athlete. If you're short you could be a gymnast. If your fat you can lose weight. Every person was given a talent or aspect for them to work with that could benefit them and if they don't think it does they can fix or change it.

  1. I like your ideas on a same color world but would have liked to see the negative and positive effects. Also I really enjoyed how you weren't afraid to state stereotypes and didn't pretend that they don't exist.

  2. I agree that having a colorless world would be better in some ways and bad in other ways. When you say "colorless", personally I don't think of just everyone being the same race. I think it'd be better if we all just grew up and were raised not even registering the fact that other people are a different skin color than you. For example, my baby brother doesn't see people or judge them from what they look like yet. So basically, it'd be better if we didn't even think about that sort of thing that society has drilled into our heads. However, if we all were "the same" we wouldn't have racism yet we would still have violence and crime.

  3. You have interesting ideas, Raliyah. I agree with you to some point, that the world might be less violent if racial prejudice didn't exist. You said that if everyone had the same skin color, instead of picking on them for that, others would pick on people for things like height and weight. Then you said that people could change some of these things for their benefit. Hair color, height, and many other things are what makes us who we are, and we shouldn't change ourselves to suit other people.

  4. I enjoyed reading your post it has a very interesting point of view to gaze through.Although I don't quite agree with that point of view about the colorless atmosphere. You see as a painter and lover of art I see the world in color. When you see brown I see burnt umber when you see white I see titanium white.I see life in shades of color and if we we're uniform I would kill over from the boring! Race and ethnicity is what makes us all different and different is awesome (: You see it's not the color we need to bleach out it's the concept. We don't come into the world seeing race we'er taught that.Just like the stereotypes you mentioned you probably didn't grown up knowing that you just heard it.So color...yes. Unfair judgment and racism...no.(:

    1. I understand that you wouldn't want the same color but if people are dying because of their color why have it if its such a big problem, but that's for your honest opinion.

  5. I enjoyed reading your post, but a baby isn't born into this world racist. Being a different race makes you unique. The examples you listed are stereotypes and are only used by people who judge. I will admit I judge sometimes, but it saddens me to realize that almost everyone judges.

    1. I know how hard it is not to judge someone by their color but nits such a big problem why not eliminate it. This race problem has been going on for many years and its has to come to a end. Thanks for you comment and opinion.

  6. That's a good blog post. I think that you may be right and wrong. Yes if the world was the same color, then most likely there would be no more discrimination. No because when you look different from other people, it will tell them who you are. But this post made me think a lot.

  7. Nice job! I agree with you that there is a lot of discrimination in out world and a lot of that is based on how we look. Do you think that it would make our world bland if we were all the same? If we were all the same no one would be unique. Would that be a good thing? Is it good to be unique?

    1. Okay. You said that if we were the same there wouldn't be anything unique, but does being unique causes someone to be discriminated against. Does it means being called names because you're different. Does it means being killed because you're a color. So to save myself from being hurt discriminated or killed, why not be the same.

  8. So, you're saying the world would be a better place if we were all the same color. Are there any cases where the world wouldn't be a better place if we were all the same color?

    1. Good question. Actually because you're the same they will find other things to pick on and get on you for that because its not like theirs or its not the same as theirs. Another scenario is that because they are the same in skin they will find something that is different like clothes, sneakers,or lifestyle.

  9. I agree with you to some extent. How do you think an Asian person's point of view would be about this topic?

    1. I think that they might could relate or they might say that not true or they might even called me a racist, but overall they might be upset.

  10. Do our differences make us unique? Would bias and discrimination still exist if we are the same color? Good work.

    1. It might still exist because people who are mean spirited, they still find little things to pick on people for like the little things and like I mentioned people take what they said into thought and change it.
