Integrity for life?

A person of integrity lives by the rules of honesty, kindness, morals and caring for others. They live with virtues and morals that they know or believe are right. In my opinion, a moral person may lie to some extent or be honest to some extent. A person of integrity does not always live by Google’s definition of integrity but by what is right wrong and just.
In my opinion a person who lives in integrity is not always right in the way that they live. Some people live with too much integrity by being a bit too honest or having too many morals that they are no longer a person but a robot that doesn't know anything but what they believe is right, which isn't always bad but could be if they strive too hard. Next, there are people who live with little or some integrity. They will live by what they know is right but in some cases stretch or twist the rules for their own wants or desires. Me, for example, I will make it look like I did everything I had to but in reality I didn't do anything at all except mess around. I am usually honest but I am not the person who has “noticeable integrity” or “ recognizable virtues”. I live by what I believe is right and still make mistakes. Finally, there are people who have no integrity at all. They are not honest, moral, appreciative, kind or even have the slightest bit of care. These people are not wrong for how they act in any way in my opinion they have their own rights and they have free will, but it is acceptable to disagree or not feel right  about these people but we have no right to judge.

I myself am partially a person of integrity. I lied and all those other things but I always paid the price. Integrity has never truly been the thing I cared about, it has always been something I said that I only have to do when I get older or I do it at certain moments it has honestly never been a true priority. I’m not saying I lie all the time or that I’m always purposely doing the wrong thing. All I’m saying is that until a few hours, days , or weeks ago I never really cared for the word integrity or really even completely understood it. Integrity has never been a word in my vocabulary, now it is a word I will try to live by.

  1. I really enjoyed reading this. I saw a lot of honesty, or integrity, when you talked about how your integrity isn't "noticable" or "recognizable". I think almost everyone at some point in their life feels the same way, atleast I know I do.

  4. Wow, I think it was very honest of you to admit to not necessarily having "noticeable integrity". I can completely relate to how you say that integrity was not part of your vocabulary, but now it is a word you will try to live by. I hope you do well in your mission to corporate integrity into your lifestyle. This was a great post that made me ponder over my own degree of integrity.

  5. I also think your blog was very well written and you made a very good point when you wrote about how you felt that you were "partially a person of integrity." I feel the same way that you do as stated in your final paragraph.

  6. I love the point you made when you said,"Some people live with too much integrity by being a bit too honest or having too many morals that they are no longer a person but a robot that doesn't know anything but what they believe is right, which isn't always bad but could be if they strive too hard." I think that everyone is partially a person of integrity. If we weren't we would be pretty much perfect making us like you said, "a robot". Your post has really got me thinking on how recognizable my integrity is. I think I am also going to start incorporating integrity in my lifestyle more often!

  7. Hi Nathan! I really liked your blog post and how now you are open to having more integrity. Why do you think that a person of integrity may lie to some extent and be honest to some extent? Everyone lies to some extent, but what do you mean by be honest to some extent? I like how you said if we strive to hard on what they believe is right. More people should start being open to new ideas and new experiences because that is how we learn. Great job!

  8. Your blog really intrigued me! I like how you said "A person of integrity does not always live by Google's definition of integrity but by what is right, wrong and just." Meaning you don't have to be the definiton of integrity but you should strive to do what is good! Great job on your blog!

  10. Hi Abreanna!
Great job. I totally agree with you about "googles definition" and how if you live with too much integrity you are in some means a robot. One question I have is do you think of yourself as a person of integrity?

    1. Thank you for your comment Bella and to answer your question yes and no. To be honest I wasn't always the most honest person( and I'm still not) but I believe integrity is something that is based on a person's beliefs so I am not sure in other people's definition but in my definition most of the time I am using integrity in my life.

  11. This is a great blog post! I like that you said "I am usally honest but I am not the person who has "noticeable integrity" or "recognizable virtues". I feel the same way about this topic because I do not go around stealing things but I am not the person that people look up to for integrety.

  13. Abreanna, you blog post was very well written. The point of how you emphasized on those who have possibly "too much" integrity is a true fact. But also, there are people in the world who do not think about the consequences of their decisions and choose what they believe is right. I am looking forward to your future blog posts. Great job! -Iliza -SGGS

  14. This was written very well. I like the part when you said "a person of integrity does not always live by Google’s definition of integrity but by what is right wrong and just." This made an impact on me. You can't just wake up one day and be a person of integrity. You have to mold and create that person.

  16. Abreanna, you wrote your passage very well. It looks like you put lots of thought into it. I like how you described what people are like when they have integrity, don't have integrity and partially have integrity. I also like that you explained that you have never heard the word but now are trying to live by it. Overall, your post about integrity was amazing.
