Integrity Blog

A person of integrity lives in honesty. A person of integrity is a person you can trust with anything or anyone. I don’t know many people that live in integrity, they would find a wallet and probably take the money that’s in the wallet. If I found money on the street I would ask whose money  it is and if no one responds, it’s mine. It’s a whole different story finding a wallet because they have all of their identity and they would probably live off the money in the wallet. If I were to find a wallet I would definitely return the wallet and with everything inside.
I’m a person of integrity. My friend at my campround lost $53 and he asked me if I saw it, I looked around and I saw the money sitting under a chair next to the pool nearbye; I returned the money and he rewarded me. Some people would have probably taken that money but I returned it as a person of integrity. I like being an honest person because everybody likes someone to be honest to you. Being a person of integrity is better than lying to someone and having all of this weight on your chest. That’s why if you tell the truth matters will be better!

  2. I think that your blog is really good. I know that if I saw someone's wallet I would return it to them. I agree that there are not that many people who have integrity anymore.

  4. I appreciate your honesty in this blog, especially in the campground situation. I most likely would have taken a dollar or two out of the wallet. Great job with being honest!

  5. I like your blog but this line stuck out and left an impression on me, "I like being an honest person because everybody likes someone to be honest to you." Jack McKenna/SGGS

  6. Your blog post is very visualizing. Like what you said, "Being a person of integrity is better than lying to someone and having all of this weight on your chest.", I can agree with that it's good to "let it all out".

  7. Your blog is amazing. I really like your two ending sentences, when you said "Being a person of integrity is better than lying to someone and having all of this weight on your chest. That’s why if you tell the truth matters will be better!" I can tell you are an honest person and that's a great thing.

  8. I think this paragraph is very well written except the last sentence were you said "That’s why if you tell the truth matters will be better!" I don't really understand what you are trying to say there. Other than that I completely agree. Especially when you said " A person of integrity is a person you can trust with anything or anyone." this to me is what integrity really is.

  9. I am completely on your side! You said that it's better to tell the truth than having all of that weight on your chest. When you lie it makes you feel guilty. That's really awesome that you returned your friend's money. You sound like you are full of integrity! Great job on your blog Ryan!

  11. Your blog is awesome! I really liked that you said "Being a person of integrity is better than lying to someone and having all of this weight on your chest." I think you're a really good friend for giving your friend his money instead of keeping it or taking some it.

  13. Your blog is fantastic! I really like how you used the example of a wallet because if I had lost my wallet i would want someone to bring it back in full.
    Keep up the good work!

  15. Hi Ryan!
Awesome job! I liked how you added a story of you as a person of integrity. One question I have is do you think it's hard being a person of integrity? If so, why?

  16. This is a great point that you are trying to make. I know that it can be very difficult to overcome the temptation to take some of the money you found in a wallet. It truly shows the character of a person by how they act when no one is watching. I like how you used a real life example to describe integrity. Also I always make sure to proofread my work before I submit it. Good work.

  17. I really like the example you gave about the wallet. It really puts a face to integrity, and by that I mean it shows integrity in action. I also definitely agree with what you said here,"Being a person of integrity is better than lying to someone and having all of this weight on your chest." It is a really good point. I know I really hate having that sort of burden on my shoulders.

  18. I like your blog post Ryan! I love your examples about how you would ask people and if know one answers then its yours. It takes a integrity to not keep the $53. I think you are right Ryan people today do not have a lot of integrity. I hope to see more posts from you!

  19. Ryan, I like your blog post. I think you are right. People today don't have that much integrity. Most people would just take the money or a wallet and not even think of returning it. But that isn't the right thing to do. Hope I get the chance to comment on more of your blogs!

  20. Hi Ryan,
I like the examples you used. I think you are right integrity means to be honest. I also agree that not many live a honest life.I think most people would problem take the money.

  21. Hey great job. I would respectfully disagree with what you said about if nobody claims that the money is theirs you would take it, so instead you should report it to the authorities. You should do that because if you report it to the police they would take the money and send out notifications to everybody in town or look at the drivers license, if the person had one, and contact that person. It would be a quicker and more efficient way of giving the person their money back. Keep up the good work.

  22. This was a great post. I agree with you that if someone were to find a wallet they would probably keep it for themselves. I am like you, I think that if I were to find it and nobody said it was theirs, I'd keep it.

  23. I am also a person of integrity. I also like having at lot of integrity. I like that you gave the money back to the person that lost it because if I was in that position, I definitly would have givin it back to the person who lost it. Telling the truth is always the right way to go. You can't go wrong if you tell the truth. You might get in trouble but after your consequence has ended, you will feel a lot better about telling the truth. It is still always better to just not do anything bad. Good job on having integrity! This was a good post.
