Integrity Blog (M.M.)

A person of integrity lives with honesty and virtue. People of integrity would give back a lost book, or wallet, or purse, no matter how much money is in it, or how bad they really want it. I have seen people with integrity, but not often. I thank them for being the most caring and honest people. They know that the right thing to do is always better than the wrong thing!! I see people with integrity as having a heart for others’ problems! People with integrity can go home knowing they did the right thing for the right reason. If they want to help give something to someone because they know that someone is struggling in their doings then they will. If they found out someone had lost something that could possibly be very close to that someone then they would find every possible way to give it back.

I am not a person that lives with integrity. Maybe sometimes I live with integrity, but I know that one day I will find a dollar bill, pick it up and just give up on finding whose it is. I will take it because there is no use in trying to find someone. I mean it is just a dollar bill, but I am not living with integrity if I do take it. Maybe I could give it away. Maybe I could donate it. If I can’t even do that, then what's the point? I do help people find things they have lost or may have been left behind somewhere where they know it could be but overall. I’m nothing special. My thinking is that if I were to be a person that lives with integrity. I would have to always find a way to help or give back something to someone. I can’t! Sometimes it’s hard! I am not fully a person that lives with integrity, but if I find a way to help someone. I will.

  1. Good job! I like how you were honest when you wrote the blog instead of writing "Oh, I am honest all the time!"

  2. Nice work! I agree with lbeansaa18 about how honest you were and this blog was very well written. I also do that when I find a dollar bill on the street.

  3. Hi Marco! I enjoyed reading your blog. I like how you gave examples about what integrity is. You did a very good job explaining that people with integrity would return lost possessions without a second thought. I also like how you openly stated that you did not live with perfect integrity. I agree, it is very hard sometimes, but it is neat that you still try to find ways to help others.

  4. Marco, I like how honest you are. I would do the same thing, pick up a dollar bill take it and won't care about who it belongs to. I think you can find a way pick up that dollar and give to someone that is desperate for money.

  5. Marco, your blog is just amazing. I loved how you said "I am not fully a person that lives with integrity, but if I find a way to help someone. I will." I can tell your an honest person just by the way you wrote your blog. Again, great job :)

  6. "I am not a person that lives with integrity. Maybe sometimes I live with integrity, but I know that one day I will find a dollar bill, pick it up and just give up on finding whose it is." I would do the same thing. Sometimes, i am not honest in what I say or do. In my mind, I'm thinking "whats the point", its just a little lie.

  7. I liked how you explained what integrity is before you started on yourself, Marco. It is great how you know you are not perfect and you explained that. I can understand when you said "One day I will find a dollar bill, pick it up and just give up on finding whose it is. I will take it because there is no use in trying to find someone." Just remember sometimes it is hard to do the right thing.

  8. I think your blog is great. I think that if it was just a dollar bill I would keep it but if it was a whole wallet I would A: Try to find its owner. B: I would give it to the lost and found. Keep up the good work.

  9. Hi Marco!
Great job. I liked your definition of the word integrity. One question I have is do you want to be a person with integrity? If so, what morals would you live by?

    1. I would love to be a person of integrity, when it is needed. I'm sorry but I am not that person that goes around and gives away free dollars. I would be happy to give back money that someone dropped and didn't notice. I love helping people out, but if there is money on the ground and there is no one to be found. I'm not going to knock on 300 doors. I might give it to someone I see struggling for money. Thank You for your lovely question! :D

  10. When I was reading the sentence, "I will take it because there is no use in trying to find someone", I was thinking about when I found seven dollars in bush outside of a mall with my family, and normally when I find money that isn't in a classroom I think of it as good luck as long as no one is around. I liked your blog because I hope I can use my integrity someday just like you! I also like how you were honest about your integrity. :D

  11. Hi Marco! Great Job on your blog. When I read the sentence " I have seen people with integrity, but not often." it really related to me. I also have seen people that have integrity, but I also have seen people that have no integrity at all. I think you did a great job on your blog. :)

  12. I really enjoyed reading your blog Marco! I agree with you that there are people out there with integrity but we don't see them often. I think that coming out and saying that you aren't a person that lives with integrity takes a lot of courage and I can relate to that. Even though we all try no one is perfect! Awesome job!

  13. Great job Marco! I think you were very honest about saying whether you had integrity or not. Do you know anyone with integrity?

    1. Well if you consider a loving grandmother that always helps everyone in the family and possibly in the neighborhood a person with integrity, then yes. I don't really go outside. I stay in and play games, and you know all the people on Call Of Duty are people that just like trash talking. Well, kids I know in school are also people with integrity. Like I said. I don't go out, so I only know the kids in my school and my family in home. Thank you! :P

  15. Dear Marco,

I really enjoyed reading your blog and watching your video. I have to disagree with your opinion because someone could do the right thing if they got in trouble to not get caught.

  16. I really liked it when you said "Sometimes it’s hard! I am not fully a person that lives with integrity, but if I find a way to help someone. I will." I try to relate to that very often, but like you said it's hard. Even if you aren't someone who lives with integrity, you can always try to be that person. I hope I can become that person.

  18. I really like this post. If you want to live with a lot of integrity, I would give that dollar to a homeless person. That would be a good thing to do. I live with a lot of integrity because I always tell the truth and do good things for other people. Even if it's just something small like holding a door for a stranger at a store, it's still something that is helping someone. I try to find something to do good for someone else every day. Even a stranger. In all, this is a good post.
