This is the beginning of our classroom blog:

Our blog name comes from the name of our school - St. Gabriel - located in South Philadelphia

St. Gabriel was one of the archangels.  His feast day is September 29th and he is known as the Patron of communications.  Gabriel means "man of God" and he is the angel who appeared to Zachariah to announce the birth of St. John the Baptist.  He also announced to Mary that she would bear a Son who would be conceived of the Holy Spirit, the Savior of the world.  It is therefore; apropos to call our class blog site - The Messenger.

The 8th graders hope to share their messages with everyone!
